Here’s some fine work from grade 8 students who took my mask making workshop. This give you an idea of the process and the results.
The Students start by sculpting masks out of plasticine.
The next step is to cover the plasticine with layers of construction paper.
The last layer is with white paper to make the mask “neutral”. From here the students can paint the mask, or work with it as a white “larval” type mask.
